Jowst, a new esports tournament platform, will be celebrating their launch with tournaments in eight different games, including ShootMania.
Gavin Weeks, owner of Jowst and esports veteran, managing teams such as Four Kings and Trademark Gamers in the past, will be opening Jowst in around November or December. Jowst will allow its users to create their own tournament and open them to players. The platform has been a work in progress for a long time now, but is shaping up for an epic release.
A minimum of £40,000 has been put available to be distributed for tournaments across eight different games. More prize money may be added if interested sponsors join in. ShootMania is one of the lucky games to be part of this grand opening of Jowst. The sign-ups will open in November, where 128 teams will be allowed to enter. The tournament will most likely run for a period of three to five weeks, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Whether the typical game type Elite will be used, or Joust, perhaps more appropriate to use due to the similarity in names, will be used. You can already sign-up for Jowst here.
The other seven games to be played are League of Legends, StarCraft 2, DotA2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Guild Wars 2.
