The ESL Op3n Gamescom Last Chance qualifier took place on 16 August. After an intense day of matches, we have the final four who will attend the Grand Finals tomorrow.
So far four teams have already qualified for the ESL Op3n Gamescom Grand Finals, which will take place on 17 August at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The teams are Millenium, colwn, Team 3DMAX and Team Dignitas. Four more teams will join them via the last chance qualifiers, which will be held a day before the Grand Finals, on 16 August, live at Gamescom as well.
Sixteen teams in total will play in the Last Chance qualifier, eight of which have been randomly selected, and eight have been invited on basis of their results in the online qualifiers. Some of the game’s top teams will be there to vie to place themselves for the Grand Finals and take a piece of the €8,000 prize purse. Some teams attending the qualifier are Eclypsia, Absolute Legends and PyRo|GEN.
The teams will be placed in a Single Elimination bracket, where the top four will qualify for the Grand Finals. The playoff tree will be finished till the end to determine the seeding for the Grand Finals. Streaming will be provided by Team Dignitas’ Ziggy “nVc” Orzeszek. We will add the stream on the frontpage once it is live.
